Okay, so you’ve decided you want to join the fight to eliminate the stigma of mental illness. Excellent!
Here’s what you do:
If you ARE already registered as a WordPress user;
-
Send me an email letting me know you would like to become a contributor to this blog. It’d be nice if it wasn’t just your name and email, maybe a few friendly words, but that’s up to you.
-
Once I’ve received it I’ll add you as a user and you will then see this blog appear in your dashboard.
-
As soon as it’s done you can start scribbling away on some posts by just clicking on “write post” (but as you’re already a wordpress member, you already know that!)
If you are NOT a WordPress user, we’ll need to get you signed up;
-
Send me an email letting me know you’d like to become a contributor to this blog and I will respond by sending you an invitation to do so. This invitation will have all the info you need to quickly sign up as a WordPress user.
-
In fact as soon as you’ve signed up you’ll see this blog on your dashboard and you can get writing away. Easy.
-
Alternatively you can become a wordpress user by visiting the website www.wordpress.com and then you can follow the steps above.
Ahhh, but hold on! Is there any fine print? I hear you asking. Well, there are a few wee regulations:
-
You can write a post, yes, but only I can actually publish the post. So it may take a wee while for your post to appear; generally I’ll just read it and click “post” without hesitation. This isn’t because I have a God complex, it’s just so I can monitor what is being written and posted on the blog so I can weed out any spam or off topic content.
-
So no spam or off topic content! Blatent advertising is also a no-no. I’d like to keep this blog relatively ad free.
-
No racist, pornographic, hateful…blah blah blah posts. I don’t like ‘isms’ and anyone looking to contribute articles along these lines should head elsewhere.
-
Ultimately, I reserve the right to decide what is published and what isn’t. I’m a pretty leniant guy so I will only not publish something if I believe it to be hate-mongering or unsuitable.
And that’s pretty much it really. So let’s get writing!
You can use the form below to send me an email to request becoming a contributor.
Also, should you have any feedback or comments, or already own a site/blog relating to mental health – shoot me an email and share your site with everyone else, I will be happy to link to it if I feel it suitable.
Thanks guys, look forward to seeing your posts.
